Periodic Microwave Furnaces
Two 3200 Watt periodic furnaces manufactured by Microwave Research & Applications Incorporated provide "Proof of Principle" investigations of materials and thermal containment systems to ascertain behaviors on a small or pilot scale prior to sintering in larger systems. These units are monitored with controllers whose readouts correspond with the information received by way of radiation thermocouples. Investigations of material, thermal containment package designs, and microwave susceptor schemes may be evaluated using these units which are capable of processing materials to temperatures as high as 1750 °C. The cavities accommodate thermal packages measuring 75 mm in diameter x 100 mm in height.
- "Proof of Principle" - Heats quickly for a short duration 1 hours from start-to-finish
- Max temperature 1750°C
- Cylinder cavity size: 75mm diameter x 100mm height
